Awards and Accreditations
We were thrilled to receive the following nominations at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards: Kamrul Hassan, Head of Operations, in the ‘Making a Difference Award’ category, and the PBS team in the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) category.
We were even more delighted to win in the ‘Making a Difference Award’ category and to be highly commended for our work in PBS support. Kamrul has dedicated over 20 years to improving the lives of individuals in the learning disability and autism community. As one of the organisation’s founding staff members, he has played a pivotal role in shaping a culture rooted in dignity, ambition, and personalised support. The judges described Kamrul as someone who “radiates warmth, humility, and genuine joy in his work”, adding that he is “thoughtful in his approach, proactive in embracing initiatives that promote inclusion, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everyone under his care feels valued.”
We are proud to collaborate with numerous local voluntary and community partners who share our values and vision. A standout example of this partnership is with Us in a Bus, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals with profound learning disabilities, complex needs, and sensory processing differences—many of whom face significant communication challenges. Their mission is to create opportunities for individuals to fully express themselves in an environment built on trust, respect, and shared experiences. Our longstanding and positive relationship with Us in the Bus has been marked by successful collaborative efforts, with one of team’s recently praised for their exceptional use of Intensive Interaction. This approach has led to significant progress for the individual they are supporting.
In recognition of our team’s commitment to excellence, Us in the Bus nominated Marcus and Marcus for the Care Provider of the Year Award at the national Leaders in Care Awards 2025, reflecting our team’s dedication to person-centered care and positive impact.
